Lowest Cost Tune-ups & Repairs

Because we’re a nonprofit organization dedicated to seeing that everyone has a bicycle, we can offer low cost tune-ups and repairs. We’re located just a quarter mile west of the Cap City Trail off Nob Hill Road in south Madison. Stop by for a visit or a tour, shop for bikes while you wait, or clean some bikes for others if you want to be a part of the cool work we are doing for the community.

Service Information

HOURS: Monday-Friday 10am-4pm

Scheduling an appointment is your best way of guaranteeing service but drop-ins are also welcome however, we cannot guarantee that you’ll receive service if we are experiencing a high volume of customers. Feel free to give us a call at (608) 405-0385.

The Service Department works with the community by providing affordable repairs, so the prices listed are our best estimates. The condition of the bicycle and the price and availability of replacement parts may affect the final cost of service. If you have a specific question about a repair or a part, send us an email at [email protected].

Our address is 354 Coyier Lane, Madison, WI 53713. The nearest Beltline exit is Rimrock Road.

Bikes for Kids is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We accept donated bicycles from the community. Proceeds from our bike sales support our efforts to get more people on bikes.

We began our work with our first bike giveaway back in 2017. We invite you to come by and test ride a bike. If you are looking for a free bike, please bring us a letter from a nonprofit you receive services from and we’ll set you up.

All sales are final.  That said, we stand behind the work we do and the bikes that result from it. If you have issues with your bike, we’ll work with you to make it right. Please send us an email or give us a call at (608) 405-0385 if you have a question. We do have to prioritize people in the shop however.

We do not buy, trade or consign bikes. Please come into the shop to find your unique ride!

Giving bikes to Cerebral Palsy Association

Call us at (608) 405-0385 or stop by at 354 Coyier Lane in Madison to talk through your bike related issues.

We have more than bikes for sale

Our community is incredibly generous and they donate more than just bikes. We have bike trailers, tagalongs, baskets, cargo racks, and car racks also available. We also usually have some very affordable e-Bikes for sale. Stop by and take a look! We are open Monday through Friday from 10-3pm.

A space for everyone

We’ve worked to create a space that is truly for everyone. We realize that not everyone has had access to a bike for their entire lives. There are no dumb questions when you come to our shop. We want to help you find the bike that works best for you so you are comfortable riding it every single day.

What is the secret to a long-lasting, functional bike? Routine maintenance! Our mechanics offer free estimates and can sometimes provide same-day service for quick fixes. Quick fixes include flat tire repair, brake adjustments, and saddle replacement.

Keep your bike safe and secure by bringing it inside at night or when unattended for long periods of time. Cable locks can be easily cut and can make a bike an easy target. It’s best to invest in a good lock or even a few locks if leaving your bike outside overnight or unattended for long periods of time.

REGISTER YOUR BIKE

If you love your bike, be sure to register it for free at Bike Index. This site is a database of stolen bikes from across the state, country and world. Visit Bike Index to register your bike. It’ll increase your chances of getting it back if you’re the unfortunate one who has their bike stolen.
