cute family with their new bikes

Each year, Free Bikes 4 Kidz Madison collects thousands of donated bikes and refurbishes them to giveaway to low income and diverse communities throughout Dane County and southern Wisconsin. In order to distribute bikes efficiently, we rely on our community distribution partners to help us find recipients. Our distribution partners include other 501c3 organizations, community centers, churches, and schools. They find our recipients, measure the heights of their kids, and collect numerous data points for us. We could not do this work without their help! To date, Free Bikes 4 Kidz Madison has supported 108 other nonprofit organizations in Dane County and southern Wisconsin. So when you help us, you’re actually helping all of these organizations too!

Much of this work is done by Free Bikes 4 Kidz volunteers so we would like to give them a BIG shout out for the hundreds of volunteer hours they spend with us helping to put more smiles on the faces of kidz and their families. If you’d like to be a part of it, you can sign up under the Volunteer tab on our website. Corporate teams of up to six people are always welcome! We often host corporate groups on Fridays from 12pm – 3pm.
