Bikes for Kids Wish List
The Bikes for Kids Wisconsin bike center will be closed August 9-18 for improvements and reorganization so our workspace can function better for staff, volunteers, and customers.
When we moved in January 2023, we didn’t know how long we would be in the space but we have great news! Our landlord has extended our temporary stay for another two years! We are fortunate to have Urban Land Interests as our landlord. They’re community focused and support us and our work in exceptional ways.
Since we’ll be in our 354 Coyier Lane, Madison location for awhile, we’ve compiled a wish list of items that would help us get more organized with all the bike parts, retail items, and storage needs so we can work efficiently.
The shelving units will store heavy items so solid wood or metal is best.
Here is a list and photos of what we’re wishing for.
– Exterior commercial bike rack for 4-8 bikes; we’d prefer something freestanding so we do not have to a pour concrete foundation.
– Metal fire cabinet.
– Low and long shelving unit; sturdy wood or metal is best since they’ll be storing a lot of bins containing metal objects.
– Heavy duty bookshelf to store heavy bins on casters.
– Display rack on wheels
– Long narrow table for our entry way display area.
– Retail shelving preferably on wheels.
– Teal and orange interior paint.
If you have something you’d like to donate, we ask that you either give us a call at 608-405-0385 or click to send an email with a photo.
Thanks for keeping an eye out for us! Please help us spread the word!
