Fall 2026 Big Breakdown on 9/26! 30 Volunteers Needed!
Join us as we tear down bikes that cannot be saved. We’ll tackle tearing down 50 bikes for parts and recycling. 30 volunteers needed! To volunteer, sign up here.
Saturday, September 26th 12-3pm
Join us for Dane County’s largest hands-on recycling event! We host the Big Breakdown twice a year, in spring and fall. This helps us restock our parts bins by diverting waste from the landfill. We’ll recycle frames from bikes that cannot be saved.
To date, we have diverted 480,000 lbs of materials from the landfill and we’ve reduced our operational expenses through this process.
