A "Big" Way to Support More People on Bikes with The Big Share!
2026 is our first time participating in The Big Share through Community Shares of Wisconsin! The Big Share is a fundraising effort for nonprofits all over the state. Funds donated will support our 2026 Bike Giveaway Program where we are set to give away over 1,400 bikes in the next two months. View the 38 organizations receiving bikes this year. Your donation supports all of these organizations receiving bikes!
The Big Share runs through midnight on March 3, 2026.
Our Goal is to Raise $20,000!
We’ve set a big goal of raising $20,000 because repairing this volume of bikes is labor intensive and costly work. If you’ve taken your bike in for a tuneup recently, you experienced this firsthand.
**We have an exciting announcement: a group of individual donors have stepped up to match $8,000 so your donation is doubled for twice the impact!
We’re asking for your help in one (or all!) of the following ways:
• Donate if you can!
• Set up a Peer-to-Peer fundraising page so your friends can support your efforts to raise funds for us. Just click the “Fundraise” button on our Big Share page.
• Set up a workplace fundraiser!
• Share our posts!
• Tell your friends!
How we’ll allocate your donations:
Funds will be used for our Bike Giveaway Program where we’ll be distributing over 1,400 bikes in February through April. Just imagine the number of tubes, tires, grips, pedals we go through—it adds up quickly!
• $25 is the cost of one helmet.
• Our bike recipients receive free repair services for one year at a cost of $75.
• It costs us $150 to giveaway a bike to change the life of one individual!
